Food Fridays?

The question mark means I am not truly committing to every Friday.   I am a member of Blogging Without Obligation  after all .

Let me know what you think of the idea and I will continue accordingly.

The Rating System

5 Skillets = Great will have again in exactly this way....soon

4 Skillets = We liked it.  May modify it next time.

3 Skillets = This has potential with modification.  We will try again.

2 Skillets = May try again with modification...IF I feel froggy.

1 Skillet = Nope...Nada...Never.  Not even worth the effort to modify for us.

Before Fikki left I had a night of experimental recipes.   Here is a link to each recipe and my opinions.

French Onion Pork Chop Skillet

This smelled great cooking and was plenty quick to prepare.  The pork chops need to marinade in my opinion in maybe the worcestershire sauce.  To be fair we are not big pork chops fans...both of us prefer the less healthy ribs.

Golden Crusted Brussel Sprouts

Excellent!  I have not-so-fond memories of sitting at the table as a child peeling off and eating one leaf at a time from 3 boiled sprouts.  I couldn't leave the table until I ate them.  I had since learned the rip-off the band-aid method of eating it all at once...and gagging through it all but that will not be necessary any longer.  This was truly good and we will have again.

Slow Cooker Bread Pudding

What can I say...it's bread pudding.  I did use cinnamon raisin bread instead of cinnamon rolls.  I still added extra raisins.  I was concerned that it would either be too dry or too mushy from cooking in the crock pot but it was just right.  We had this with caramel vanilla swirl ice cream.    Next time...just for snicks I will try it with leftover Cinnamon Chip bread from Great Harvest. Not because it needs modified...just because the point of bread pudding is to use up left-overs.
